THE GOD WHO SHAKES FOUNDATIONS

Main Text: Acts 16:25-26 (KJV) 25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

INTRODUCTION:
In Scripture, foundations symbolise the core structures upon which things are built — whether physical, spiritual, or institutional. When foundations are shaken by God, it is not merely a display of raw power, but an intentional act of divine intervention aimed at liberation, justice, and restoration. The shaking of foundations can break chains, open closed doors, and reverse situations that human effort could never change.

God is the Master Strategist who knows exactly when and how to shake a foundation for the benefit of His people. He shakes both the visible and the invisible realms — disturbing demonic arrangements, dismantling satanic altars, and disrupting the plans of the wicked. When God shakes a foundation, the atmosphere shifts, and divine order is re-established.

The shaking of foundations in Acts 16 was not random; it was triggered by worship, prayer, and a faith that refused to be intimidated by prison walls. It reminds us that no situation is too rigid or too deeply rooted for God to overturn. When He shakes foundations, every chain is broken, and His glory is revealed in an undeniable way.
